Thanks to the Selah program, Karolina received a free flight to Israel, free housing during her initial stay at the Jewish Agency absorption center and tuition-free Hebrew language school. For young women like Karolina, who move to Israel with no relatives, it is especially critical they receive all the care and support they can get. That’s why the Jewish Agency also provided Karolina with close mentorship, so that she feels taken care of and supported in her new home in Israel.
“I was at the Jewish Agency program for ten months in the Galilee”, Karolina tells us. “I studied Hebrew, prepared for my university admission exams, and am waiting to finish my service in the Israel Defense Forces so I can begin my studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.”
Through the Jewish immigration program, the Jewish Agency has brought more than 3,000,000 Jews to Israel from all over the world, with 30,594 moving to the Holy Land in just the past year.
While Karolina arrived in Israel and is blossoming in her new home, many more Jewish families in Ukraine and around the world still await their chance to reach Israel.
The Jewish Agency’s rescuing of Jewish lives and their deliverance to Israel is made possible by the generous giving of friends from around the world.
By donating to the Jewish Agency’s programs, you will be providing support to those who need it the most.
